You work hard at your career to know your field and earn a good income. You know that regardless of your daily duties, part of your job is to acquire a nest egg toward your golden years. Yet, you may find determining which path toward that objective is a daunting task, obscured by many interests vying for your attention and your assets. Where can you turn for information that is informative and unbiased?
Our retirement advisor team members are consumers as well. We study retirement income management, and we are also striving hard to save for our own retirements. We know the inherent anxiety of trying to find expert advice, whether it’s looking for a doctor, dentist, or good car mechanic. A large percentage of the general public has no idea how much they will need, nor where it will come from, to allow them the lifestyle they imagine they will have when they reach retirement age! There is a very lengthy list of reasons why people don’t know, and hence don’t accumulate, what they will need, and therefore fall short, including fear of the unknown. We have been educating financial advisors in the specialty of retirement planning and income management since 2004 and have heard from many of our clients’ customers that a consumer source for unbiased information would be a great benefit to folks who want to be proactive in preparing for their retirement years.
WE DO NOT ENDORSE specific product solutions. We train financial advisors in a process to manage retirement risks and the income strategies they need to know so that they can most effectively advise YOU. This allows us to provide unbiased information permitting advisors and clients to truly choose what’s best for them. This site seeks to make that information accessible to you.
Research shows that about 20% of consumers want to manage their retirement assets themselves. About 50% of consumers want some say in the matter, but prefer someone else to do most of the management, and 30% of consumers prefer to let someone else handle the whole thing. No matter which group best describes you, you will benefit from learning how much you already know, and what you still need to learn about managing your retirement income through our signature Four Stages of Retirement LiteracyTM process.
