Service and Product Providers
Managing retirement income is a specialty within the retirement services industry that is evolving as rapidly as 78 million Americans retiring in the years to come. Although the perception of the retirement that awaits boomers is largely based on the experiences of their older relatives and friends, the reality may be different without careful risk assessment and planning.
As a provider of retirement services or products, advisors rely on your retirement professionals to provide up-to-date training that corresponds to their clients' unique needs. In order to take a consultative approach, your representatives must demonstrate the knowledge, accomplishment and skill necessary to inspire confidence in their expertise, which translates into growing brusiness for you. How can your retirement professionals help advisors be on the leading edge of success?

You want your advisors to be able to better help their clients make critical retirement decisions and you want your service representatives to take a more consultative approach when working with advisors. As the demand for retirement income management specialists grows, you want to be sure your organization has the certified and accredited personnel that will keep you as a provider at the top of the industry. How can you build client confidence in your advisors? Have your retiement professionals become Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certificate holders. An advisor's CRC® designation inspires confidence in clients that the financial professional they chose to guide them has achieved a high professional level of ability. The CRC® was designed by the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, in 1997 under the academic guidance of Texas Tech University, to enable retirement professionals understand how to manage the increasingly complex challenges facing today's retirees. This accredited certification demonstrates in a tangible way that your sales representatives have attained the knowledge and experience necessary to be an industry leader, adhere to a code of ethics, and made a commitment to ongoing education. As the only other financial certification independently accredited other than the CFP® program, CRC® certification will allow your team to be recognized and respected as true retirement professionals. While preparing for the CRC® exam, representatives may also earn CE credits for state insurance and CFP® requirements. Obtaining CRC® certification requires registration, preparation for and passing of the CRC® exam, and completing the certification eligibility requirements. Advisors should register on the InFRE site to begin the certification process at least 90 days before they wish to take the exam. As InFRE® 's exclusive distributor, we at IRRC make the CRC® study guides available to you for purchase separately or bundled together at a discount in the IRRC store. Note: Each CRC® course has been approved for 7.5 hours of CFP® CE credit; state insurance CE credit pending. Contact Kevin Seibert at kseibert@infrerrc.com or (847) 382-9032 for more information.
